South Carolina vaccination report, more than 1 million people have started the process

Columbia, South Carolina – The health officials confirm that more than 1 million people already started the vaccination process in South Carolina.

As of March 19^th, the latest data shows 1,045,236 residents statewide have now received at least one dose of the vaccine, which is more than 25% of South Carolina residents.

Numbers of administrated doses per vaccine type:

• Pfizer – 615,643
• Moderna – 400,234
• Johnson & Johnson – 29,341

As we already know, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses, while the latest FDA approved -Johnson & Johnson vaccine requires only one dose.

According to the distribution plan, South Carolina is currently in phase 1B, which makes eligible everyone 55 and older for vaccination.
