South Carolina woman wins big, lottery ticket turns into $300,000 prize

Columbia, South Carolina – Lottery ticket bought at the Obama Gas Station on N. Main Street was lucky for one Midland woman.

South Carolina Education Lottery in an official press release confirmed that a woman won $300,000 on a lottery ticket bought from gas station.

The woman didn’t realize at first about the winnings when she went to the lottery checker at the gas station and got the “Claim at Lottery” message.

She asked the gas station worker to check her ticket. That’s the moment when she realized she won 6-figure prize.

There were plenty of other customers at the gas station at the moment, but somehow the winner remains calm. She just didn’t want to draw attention at her.

“I was so surprised,” the winner said. “I put my hand up to my mouth to stay quiet.”

The store received $3,000 for selling the winning ticket.

The same store has been lucky for lottery players in the past. Two people have won $250,000 each years ago and third won $1 million Powerball ticket in 2012.
