Tire store workers attacked in North Charleston on Tuesday, investigation

North Charleston, South Carolina – Local authorities are investigating an incident that took place Tuesday when four tire store workers were attacked.

According to the police, the incident took place at Bernie’s Tires on Rivers Avenue around 2 p.m.

The incident initially occurred between two store workers and three clients who were not happy with the service at the store.

Police say the men left the business but returned later. One man was armed with a hammer, one with a pipe and the third used his hands during the assault, the report states.

Three tire store workers suffered heavy injuries and they were bleeding when EMS crews arrived. After short medical treatment, they were transferred to hospital for treatment.

Fourth store worker reported being punched in the face and back and had visible marks on his face, the report states.

The incident was caught on the store’s surveillance cameras and officers were able to get suspect’s full description.

There is ongoing investigation about the incident, once more details are available, we will update the case.
