Tuesday morning shooting in Berkeley County in the Windgate neighborhood resulted with one person shot to death, investigation

Berkeley County, South Carolina – Tuesday morning shooting in Berkely County was fatal for one person, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

According to the initial incident report, the shooting took place around 7:15 a.m. in the Windgate neighborhood, on Gains Mill Drive- off Myers Road. Deputies were dispatched at the scene following a 911 call regarding shots fired.

When first responders arrived at the scene, a male victim was found suffering gunshots injuries sustained in the shooting incident. Shortly after, the shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of now, no additional information is available.

There is ongoing investigation conducted by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and once more details are available, we will update the case.
