North Charleston PD believes that the male juvenile victim shot and injured on Tuesday afternoon is an accident, police

North Charleston, South Carolina – Officers with the North Charleston Police Department were dispatched at the scene on Dorchester Road on Tuesday after it was reported that a male juvenile was shot and injured.

According to the local authorities who didn’t disclose many details about the incident, the results of the initial investigation have showed that the shooting appears to be an accident.

Per the incident report, officers were dispatched in the 6500 block of Dorchester Road following a 911 call in regards to shots fired around 3:30 p.m.

When responding officers arrived at the scene, they found male juvenile victim suffering gunshot wounds. As of now, no arrests have been made as the department believes the shooting was accidental.

Local authorities said they will provide more details in the upcoming days.

No more details were given about the victim’s condition who was transferred by EMS to a local hospital.
