One suspect arrested and charged connected to Lake City shooting, police report

Florence, South Carolina – One man is arrested and charged for attempted murder connected to the Friday’ shooting in Lake City.

According to police, the shooting took place on Friday on South Ron McNair Boulevard and the victim was transferred to hospital for treatment suffering gunshot wounds.

The investigation following the incident led the police to identify Quante Daion-Kashawn Epps as a suspect. Police interviewed several witnesses and obtained video surveillance showing the suspect firing multiple shots at the victim.

When arrested, the suspect was identified by the victim.

Epps was arrested without incident and jailed.

The suspect is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
