Charleston, South Carolina – One person is dead as a result of the shooting that took place Friday night in North Charleston. The police say this is second fatal shooting in the area in a span of a month.
According to police reports, the shooting occurred near Remount Road around 8:40 p.m. Deputies were dispatched following a 911 call regarding shots fired.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they found injured man in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. the man died at the scene despite officers’ effort to save him.
The vehicle was located along the 5600 block of Parana Street.
The police added that this is second shooting that occurred in the area in a span of month. According to them, there is no indication that the shootings are connected.
No information about possible suspect(s) was released.
