Gas prices in South Carolina: slight drop in prices and what to expect

Charleston, South Carolina – The recent survey of more than 3,000 gas station across the state shows a slight drop in gas prices last week in South Carolina.

According to Gas Buddy, gas prices have fallen 0.7 cents per gallon last week compared to the week before now averaging $2.59/a gallon.

South Carolina drivers now pay 90 cents more per gallon compared to this period last year. Compared to last month, the prices are almost the same, now 1.4 cents more expensive per gallon.

Gas Buddy’s survey shows that the cheapest selling gas last week was $2.26/a gallon, while the most expensive gas is priced $3.25/a gallon. That’s almost a dollar difference.

The national average has also dropped 2.1 cents per gallon in the last week.

More expensive gas is expected during the next few months.
