One Orangeburg teenager charged believed to be responsible for shooting to death school teacher

Orangeburg, South Carolina – Karl Williams, 49-year-old school teacher, was shot to death last December and the investigation was ongoing.

Months later, 16-yer-old teenager was charged believed to be connected with the shooting of the beloved teacher. The identity of the boy is not released because of his age.

“This individual was taken into custody at an Orangeburg apartment complex today by members of my team and those of the US Marshals,” said Sheriff Leroy Ravenell. “We’ve investigated this senseless shooting since moment one.”

This is second arrest made regarding this case.

Aloysius Green, Jr., 18-year-old, was the first arrested in January, also charged with murder.

According to police, the accident happened on December 14th at Myers Road. They received 911 shooting call and responded to the scene just to find the dead body of the teacher.

Third man is also wanted for this case. Calik Guinyard of Lexington County, also 18-year-old, is wanted by the police for this case but he is held in Florida for charges in that state.
