Police revealed the identity of the victim killed at 1745 Savannah Highway in West Ashley on Tuesday, report

West Ashley, South Carolina – The 30-year-old Brendan Gaskins from Charleston was the victim in the shooting that took place on Tuesday at 1745 Savannah Highway in West Ashley.

When officers arrived at the scene at the apartment complex, they found Gaskins’ unresponsive body there. He was pronounced dead shortly after officers’ arrival.

The cause of death is pending completion of the autopsy scheduled on Dec. 20, the coroner’s office said.

There is ongoing investigation about the incident and Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal confirmed that the death is being investigated as a homicide.

According to the incident report, the local authorities were dispatched at the scene at the Stono Apartments in the 1700 block of Savannah Highway following a 911 call in regards to an unresponsive man around 3:15 p.m.

As of writing of this article, police don’t have a suspect(s) in the case.
