Dorchester County crash on Saturday evening results with motorcyclist dead, report

Dorchester County, S. C. – Saturday evening crash in Dorchester County results with dead motorcyclist following a collision with a pickup truck.

The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. and both vehicles were traveling southbound along Old Beach Hill Road.

According to authorities, the accident happened when the motorcyclist hit the pickup truck. At the moment the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.

The driver fell from the motorcycle right after the crash and was transported to the nearest hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he died shortly after.

The driver of the pickup was not hurt.

The investigation is ongoing and we expect more information about the accident including the identity of the motorcyclist.
