Friday afternoon shooting in Savannah results with two seriously injured, the woman believed to be involved in the incident arrested

The shooting that took place on Friday in the afternoon hours resulted with two victims seriously injured and one person with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the incident, police arrested one female suspect believed to be involved in the incident, they claim.

According to them, the suspect has been identified as the 31-year-old Quanula Selverstine Griffin and she has been arrested in the evening hours on Friday few hours after the fatal incident. She has been booked into the Chatham County jail on three counts of aggravated assault.

As we already reported, the shooting took palace around 3 p.m. on Friday to the 600 block of Brewer Street in Kayton Homes. The officers were dispatched at the scene following a 911 call in regards to a shooting.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found mother and a daughter, identified as the 44-year-old Shawna Gadson and the 26-year-old Tequila Owens, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in serious condition.

They were immediately transferred to hospital for treatment.

Additionally, they found a third victim with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by an object during the altercation. The third victim was identified as the 30-year-old Eric Starr.

The suspect already had fled the scene when officers arrived there, but they were able to quickly identify the suspect as Griffin.

According to the initial investigation, the shooting happened as a result of dispute between neighbors.

The case remains under investigation.

The authorities didn’t provide additional information regarding the condition of the victims.
