Georgetown County, South Carolina – A woman was stabbed, struck by car and dragged along road in George County, police say. There is undergoing investigation about this incident.
The police received a 911 call for an assault Friday afternoon and responded to the call to a residence on Jeremiah Drive in Plantersville.
The woman was living on the same address where the police officers responded. The call initially was reported as a person being struck by a vehicle. The police later discovered that the woman was stabbed before it was hit by a vehicle.
After she tried to prevent the suspect drive away from the scene with standing in front of the car, she was hit. According to the eyewitnesses, the woman was struck and dragged for almost 90 feet down the road by a gray Nissan Altima.
The suspect went in unknown direction.
No information about the condition of the woman is provided. However, unofficial reports say the woman was conscious when first responders arrived on the scene and transferred to the nearest hospital for treatment.
