South Carolina woman lost both her arms following a dog attack on Monday, the owner of the dog appeared in court on Thursday, report

The 38-year-old Kyleen Waltman had her both arms amputated following a dog attack that happened earlier this week on Monday, according to multiple reports.

According to the incident report, the 38-year-old mother of three children was attacked by three dogs about 10:30 a.m. Monday in Honea Path, her sister, Sheena Green confirmed.

The owner of the dogs was identified as Justin L. Minor and he appeared in court on Thursday facing several charges including three counts of animals/penalty for the owner of dangerous animal attacks and injures a human or owning, selling, breed, etc. for the purpose, animals/rabies control chapter violation and animals/dangerous animals not permitted beyond premises unless restrained.

As a result of the attack, Waltman had her arms amputated up to the shoulder, plus she had her colon removed and her esophagus may also have to be removed.

The suspect was given a $15,000 bond and he is due back in court in May.

Two of the dogs were pit bulls, while the third dog was a mixed breed. Abbeville Animal Control did immediately take possession of the dogs.

According to the authorities, the investigation about the incident is still ongoing.

As of Thursday afternoon, the victim was undergoing a surgery and was in critical condition.
