This is how schools across Palmetto State are managing the current situation with Covid-19, some started moving to virtual learning

South Carolina – The Covid-19 cases currently are still increasing and slowly but surely are getting closer to all-time-highs on a daily basis.

The current Covid-19 situation probably came in the worst possible moment just at the beginning of the new school year in South Carolina.

What differs this wave compared to the previous ones is the fact that even the fully vaccinated are getting infected and also children, which was not the case since the start of the pandemic.

While the school districts are still discussing the mask mandates in schools, the number of students infected with the virus is rising every day.

That’s a clear sign for some schools to put in place additional measures is order to prevent the spread of the virus in the schools and keep everyone self as much as they can.

Early College High School says they are moving to full virtual instruction beginning Friday.

The school officials’ decision came after the number of positive cases has drastically risen since the start of the year resulting with many others to be sent to quarantine.

According to the officials, the virtual learning will last at least until September 10 and all extracurricular activities will be suspended until Sept. 10.

In a release, the school outlined how students would access classes at the school and classes taken through Trident Technical College. Information can be found on the school’s website.
