On Sunday, the 12-day-long SC State Fair came to its with better-than-expected attendance.
As we already reported, almost 350,000 people attended the SC State Fair since its opening until Sunday.
Last year, the SC State Fair was a drive-thru event due to the pandemic and this year’s event was a great opportunity for fairgoers to spend time with family and friends.
“We could not be more pleased with this year’s fair after what has been a challenging year for everyone,” fair general manager Nancy Smith said in a news release.
“Lots of people understandably are continuing to make the decisions they think are best for their families, and the fact that we have remained South Carolina’s largest event says a lot about the significant value the fair holds for so many,” Smith added.
Those who missed the SC State Fair will now have the opportunity to attend Coastal Carolina Fair in Ladson starting Thursday.
The Coastal Carolina Fair will implement a clear bag policy this year. Guests will also be allowed a small clutch or wallet not exceeding 6.5″ x 4.5″ in size.
Coastal Carolina Fair is set to take place October 28 and will run through November 7 at Exchange Park in Ladson.
