Orangeburg, South Carolina – Saturday afternoon crash in Orangeburg was fatal for one person after he was hit and killed by two vehicles while he was crossing the road in his motorized wheelchair.
According to the incident report, the crash took place after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at S.C Highway 33 near Ruby Renette Street.
The identity of the victim was not immediately released by the South Carolina Highway Patrol who responded at the scene after the crash.
The incident happened when the victim was crossing the road in his motorized wheelchair and he was hit by 2017 Toyota Corolla and a 2016 Hyundai Sedan traveling north on S.C Highway 33.
The pedestrian was hit by the two vehicles leading to his death, Highway Patrol Trooper Brian Lee says.
The drivers were not injured in the incident.
