While Biden focuses on the pandemic, crime rate increase and immigration issues push his rating down

“This year the Fourth of July is a day of special celebration, for we’re emerging from the darkness of a year of pandemic and isolation, a year of pain fear and heartbreaking loss,” Biden said as he highlighted the coronavirus during his July 4 speech.

“Today we’re closer than ever to declaring our independence from a deadly virus. That’s not to say the battle against COVID-19 is over. We’ve got a lot more work to do.”

Covid-19 and vaccination were top priority things on his presidential agenda and Biden really put his office’s focus on these two things since taking the office. Although half of the states didn’t meet his Fourth of July vaccination rate goal, it looks like the country is moving forward in getting back to normal to pre-pandemic period.

It’s more than clear and most the people realized that Biden’s has been waiting for this opportunity, his largest event yet of his presidency, to note the ‘success’ how his office is handling the Covid-19 pandemic. But Biden, on purpose or not, didn’t mention his opinion on defunding police, surging crime rates in many states or southern border illegal immigration issues.

No one can really blame our president for putting his focus on the pandemic, but surging crime and illegal immigration at the southern border have definitely pushed his overall rating down.

According to Washington Post and ABC News poll, “33 percent of Americans say they approve of how he is handling” illegal immigration on the southern border. What’s even more, only 63% of the Democrats approved his immigration handling policies.

In another survey conducted by The Post, only 38 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of crime, while 48 percent disapprove.

“Biden wanted all Americans to celebrate, too, after enduring 16 months of disruption in the pandemic and more than 605,000 deaths. The White House encouraged gatherings and fireworks displays all around the country to mark — as though ripped from a Hollywood script — the nation’s ‘independence’ from the virus,” the AP continued echo Biden’s hyper-focus.

Meanwhile, illegal border crossings are up nearly 700 percent from last May, while in Democrat led states the crime is surging like never before. These two things push Biden’s rating down and work in Trump’s favor who recently hosted two rallies in Ohio and Florida where thousands of supporters attended the events.

According to National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Democrat-run Portland is seeing 533% increase in homicides this year, Democrat-run Philadelphia 37% and Democrat-run Atlanta 58%.

Shooting rates are also increased in Democrat-run New York seeing 54% increase, Democrat-run Los Angeles with 51% increase and Democrat-run Chicago with 18% increase.

The time will show how these numbers will affect Biden and Democrats’ rating in next year’s Midterm elections.
