North Charleston, South Carolina – Fire crews responded at the scene after a blaze was reported at a North Charleston Checkers location on Sunday night.
According to reports, crews responded at the Dorchester Road restaurant at 10 p.m.
The first crews to arrive at the scene immediately noticed the heavy smoke coming from the building. They managed to immediately enter the restaurant and when they were sure everyone is evacuated, they started extinguishing the fire.
Shortly after, firefighters completely extinguished the flames.
Fire Department crews informed that no injuries were reported in the incident.
While fire crews were working on the blaze, NCPD officers took care of the traffic in the area. Charleston County EMS crews were also at the scene.
There is ongoing investigation that should reveal the cause of the fire. No more details were provided at this time.
