Marlboro County, South Carolina – Two people are killed and three injured in Sunday’s early morning shooting near a nightclub in Marlboro County, police say.
According to them, the shooting took place around 2 a.m. on Sunday near the South Carolina/North Carolina border in the parking lot across the street from Club Amnesia in the McColl community.
Police responded to a 911 call in regards to a six victim being shot, but the information was not immediately confirmed by the authorities.
The police have a reason to believe that multiple shooters were involved in the shooting incident and local police department is working on the case together with North Carolina authorities.
So far, the shooting suspects haven’t been identified or located.
When authorities responded at the scene, they found a total of five victims. Two were pronounced dead at the scene, while three of them were injured and transferred to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Police didn’t reveal their condition.
Local business owner who owns a store just next to the club said that people should think before they act.
“It’s sad. It’s not good. If you go to the club to have a good time and stuff like that, but don’t fight and shoot. It’s just bad,” he said.
The case is under investigation and no more details were provided at this point. More information is expected during the upcoming weeks.
