Georgetown County, South Carolina – Saturday afternoon single-vehicle crash in Georgetown County was fatal for two people, the South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed.
According to the incident report, the fatal crash took place in the afternoon hours around 5:30 p.m. on Dunbar Road near Browns Ferry Highway.
The investigators confirmed that a 2004 Chevrolet SUV traveling north on Dunbar Road ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.
The crash was fatal for the driver of the SUV and the front seat passenger who were pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger, who was sitting on the backseat, suffered injuries and was transferred to hospital for treatment.
The identities of the victims were not immediately released by the authorities. No more details were given about the condition of the hospitalized victim.
