Early morning crash results with one person dead and two others injured, state troopers responded at the scene on I-26, report

One person lost his life while the other suffered injuries in early morning crash that happened in Charleston County, South Carolina State Troopers say.

According to the incident report, a Mazda3 was heading east on I-26 at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday, when the driver shifted lanes and hit a Nissan Altima.

Then the Mazda3 went off the road ending up in a ditch and the driver was thrown off the vehicle as a result of the heavy hit.

The driver of the Mazda3 was pronounced dead at the scene when troopers arrived. According to them, he didn’t wear seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Those in the Nissan Altima suffered injuries too.

The police said that the driver of the Nissan Altima was the 28-year-old Racheem White of Goose Creek. The driver and the passenger whose identity was not revealed were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Troopers didn’t provide more details about their injuries. However, they were transferred to hospital for additional treatment.
